Flow-Through Funds
Qwest is an industry leader in the structuring, marketing and management of tax-effective flow-through products. Qwest launched its first structured flow-through offering in 2000, and has since successfully completed twenty flow-through offerings. Private Oil & Gas Funds
In January 2012, Qwest launched its Qwest 2012 Private Oil & Gas Income LP offering. This fund is available to Canadian resident accredited investors only. For those investors who qualify, the Qwest 2012 Private Oil & Gas Income LP offering can be purchased through your Investment Advisor.In February 2012, Qwest launched its Qwest 2012 Canadian Private Oil & Gas LP offering. This fund is available to non-Canadian resident accredited investors only. In order to achieve the Private Oil & Gas Funds' investment objective, the portfolio manager will make equity investments in the oil and gas companies that conduct business in Canada or certain other attractive international jurisdictions. Investments will be made primarily by participating in start-up company treasury financings and investing in undervalued private securities in the secondary markets. Qwest's portfolio manager may also invest in early stage public securities with substantial growth potential.
Qwest Funds Corp. Mutual Fund Corporate Classes
In the spring of 2006, Qwest Funds Corp. launched its Series A shares of Qwest Energy Canadian Resource Class and in June 2011 launched its Series F shares. In late 2010, Qwest Funds Corp. launched its Series A and Series F shares of Qwest Inflation-Deflation Trend Allocation Class (see below for more information on each mutual fund).About the Qwest Energy Canadian Resource Class ("CRC")

About the Qwest Inflation-Deflation Trend Allocation Class ("QIDTA")
The fundamental investment objective of the QIDTA Class is to provide long-term capital appreciation by investing primarily in investments that provides exposure to a diversified portfolio of equity and fixed income securities of companies, governments and other issuers located around the world.In 2009, Qwest developed and launched its Qwest Inflation-Deflation Trend Model (the "Trend Model"), a proprietary quantitative investment model used to identify asset inflation and deflation trend changes. Trend signals from the Trend Model are used to allocate the QIDTA Class portfolio into specific asset classes that traditionally respond positively during an inflation trend, a deflation trend or a neutral trend. Utilizing signals from the Trend Model, generally the portfolio will be allocated into asset classes as follows:
During asset inflation trends, mainly invest in inflation protected fixed-income securities or ETFs holding inflation protected fixed income securities, equity securities of companies engaged in resource extraction activities, equity securities of issuers located in emerging markets and securities of ETFs that provide the portfolio with exposure to these types of securities, and derivatives or other investments that provide the portfolio with exposure to gold in a manner permitted by applicable securities laws;
During a neutral trend, mainly invest in equity securities and securities of equity-related ETFs listed on a stock exchange in Canada or the United States that provide the portfolio exposure to equities; and during asset deflation trends, mainly invest in fixed income securities issued by the United States Treasury, and securities of ETFs listed on a stock exchange in Canada or the United States that provide the portfolio with exposure to fixed income securities issued by the United States Treasury.
